With the recent launch of Turbo, we have introduced Webhooks which we are so excited about! Using Webhooks feature you will be able to link Dux-Soup to over a 1000 different applications via Zapier! This blog post will cover the main info about Dux-Soup and Zapier and how you can connect two applications with the help of Webhooks, so keep on reading.
What is Zapier?
Zapier is a tool that allows you to connect apps you use every day to automate tasks and save time. You can connect any of 1,000+ integrated apps together to make your own automations. What's more it's quick and easy to set up - you don't need to be a developer, anyone can make a Zap!
What is a Zap?
Simply speaking, a “Zap” is a task that you want to be performed over and over again. For example, you can “add every profile visited by Dux-Soup to Hubspot CRM”. The first part of the request is the “Trigger”, and the second - the “Action”.
When you create a Zap, Zapier will automatically check the trigger for new data every few minutes and when the Zap triggers, Zapier performs and action.
What is a Trigger?
A Trigger is the event that starts a Zap. For example, if you want to add evert profiles visited on LinkedIn to Hubspot, “new LinkedIn profile” will be a trigger.
What is an Action?
An Action is the event that a Zap performs. Following the example mentioned above, if you want to add every visited LinkedIn profile to Hubspot, “adding new contact to Hubspot” will be the “Action” in this case.
Dux-Soup + Zapier
As mentioned earlier, the Turbo Edition introduced Webhooks which is a unique feature that no other 3rd party LinkedIn app has! You can easily use Webhooks on Zapier to connect LinkedIn with another external web application. If we take the example mentioned above (add every visited LinkedIn profile to Hubspot), we can easily create a workflow where we connect LinkedIn data to your Hubspot CRM.
