Delayed Follow Ups

Thanks to the latest Dux-Soup update in June and the release of the blacklisting feature (more on that here), you can now plan out your whole outreach months in advance with a step-by-step campaign that will automatically stop when your contacts reply.

This means is that you can set up a whole outreach campaign in advance that you can run in the background, with delays in between the messages so you don’t spam your contacts, and have the chance to reply with a fully personalised message when they reply.

The process looks something like this:

First, you send a personalised LinkedIn connection request through Dux-Soup Turbo. Then, you set up your Zapier connection for an automatic follow up once they accept. After a certain delay (of your choice), you can continue with the next personalised message of your drip campaign.

The beauty of this is that you can set delays in between each step of the campaign, so you don’t spam them and the conversation looks natural, and once they reply - Dux-Soup will stop the campaign, giving you the chance to reply personally.

This way, you can have your whole outreach plan in the background that will notify you when you will need to reply, while you focus on other tasks.

Full guide on setting up the campaign and saving time with automated follow-up and templates can be found here.

Lead Generation That Converts - a Customer Success Story

One of the most common questions we get in the Dux-Soup User Group is - “I’ve built a network, now what?

Here’s what.

Our own head of marketing, Adam Osman, shares a user’s step-by-step blueprint on how they use Dux-Soup for LinkedIn lead generation that converts.

This blueprint gives some insight into how one company is successfully structuring their lead generation campaign through LinkedIn and how they manage to reach an acceptance rate of 30-40%!

If you’re interested in the user’s step-by-step outreach process, including the templates they use, be sure to read the whole guide and the user insights here.

LinkedIn Pending Invites Hack with Dux-Soup

Speaking of outreach, if you’ve been using Dux-Soup for your lead generation for some time now, then this tip is for you.

Here’s what you need to know about LinkedIn pending requests and “profile recycling”.

If you did not know this already, the maximum amount of pending LinkedIn connection requests you can have at a time is 3,000 invites. While that may seem like a lot, you can easily get there if you’re automating your outreach.

After a while, your requests start to become deadweight and do more harm than good. If they haven’t accepted 3-4 weeks after the connection request, chances are, they won’t accept in the near future as well.

You can find your pending requests here (and we always recommend checking it regularly).

But instead of deleting these request entirely, why not have a second go at a connection so that the profile doesn’t go to waste?

To do this, all you have to do is go to your connection requests section on LinkedIn, scan and download that data using Dux-Soup, and then revisit them using a colleague’s LinkedIn account.

You can then change the connection request message and experiment with different templates.

If successful, you’ll have gained a few leads that otherwise might have fallen through the cracks.

Full guide on this, as well as some safety tips you might want to keep in mind here.

Automate Adding LinkedIn Connections to Your CRM

If you’re going to be scaling up your outreach and growing your business, keeping track of your contacts within your CRM might also become increasingly difficult.

There are times when you have to manually add someone to your CRM (e.g. referrals, business cards, etc.) If that’s the case, you probably want them to be on your LinkedIn as well. If that’s the case, here’s what you do.

By following this guide, you can set up a Zap that will have your CRM and LinkedIn connections relationship tidier and your lead generation process more organised.

If you want to make sure you’re connected with all of your CRM contacts on LinkedIn, be sure to follow the step-by-step process as well as grab the free messaging template inside.
