Why do we need a Cloud Edition?

There are a couple of reasons why…

We've seen an uptick in market demand across the board for Lead Generation tools on LinkedIn. Demand comes from small business owners, lead generation specialists, agencies and business development teams.

At Dux-Soup we encourage our users to provide feedback and request developments that will help them to accelerate their LinkedIn outreach and boost their campaign results. Our webinars, customer calls and feedback portal enable us to interact with our customers and prioritize product development in response to users' requests. Our customers told us they want to be able to keep their lead generation running using either an alternative device or a VPS. As a result of their feedback Cloud Dux was born. Developed as an all-in-one solution in which to keep Dux-Soup running, our customers are now able to enroll and go.

Getting started with Dux-Soup Cloud

  1. Login to your LinkedIn account.
  2. Go to the Chrome Web Store and in the search box enter ‘Dux-Soup’ to find the extension. Click on ‘Add to Chrome’.
  3. A pop-up box will appear, click ‘add extension’.

Note: Extension version 9.04 is required for the Cloud Edition to work. All Dux-Soup editions are installed from the same extension.

The extension is responsible for creating the cloud session. Once the extension is installed the Dux-Soup icon will appear - for the Cloud Edition the icon is a raspberry color.

The first time you log in you will also need to log in to the dashboards, this is what you’ll then see:

In the Dux-Dash there is a new cloud option called the ‘Cloud Monitor’. When it’s selected the cloud session launches, you will see your profile and the status of activity within the cloud.

Note: The cloud session shares the LinkedIn session on your browser. If you log out of LinkedIn, you will also log out of the cloud session.

Creating a campaign and enrolling with the Cloud

Go to the ‘drip campaign’ option and set up your campaign. Here’s a simple example:

Now you’re ready to enroll profiles.

Perform a search on LinkedIn or Sales Navigator and enroll directly from that list. Do this using the Dux-Soup Tricks box, by selecting ‘enroll’ for the person you want to add to your campaign.

To find out more about enrolling leads into campaigns, take a look at the blog ‘Enrolling prospects into campaigns’.

Now go to your Dux-Dash, select ‘Queued Activity’ and the LinkedIn profile and action will be displayed for all queued activity, for all your Dux-Soup campaigns. When the activity is complete it will disappear from the queue:

Go to the ‘Funnel Flow’ option in your Dux-Dash and you will see the profile has been added to the campaign and the first message has been sent:

The ‘Activity Log’ in the Dux-Dash will show all the completed actions:

Dux-Soup Options for the Cloud Edition

The extension and the cloud session work in the same time zone. Any changes you make to timings in the Dux-Soup Planner will transfer to the extension.

As with Pro and Turbo, the Cloud plan also gives you the option to work in the regular user interface - a simplified, slimmed down version of Dux-Soup focusing on core activities. Or you can work in the expert UI which will show additional options such as ‘Scan’. The blog ‘The Dux-Soup User Interface - are you a regular or expert user?’ explains the differences.

In the Cloud plan the automation actions no longer exist in the ‘Actions’ tab. All the settings across the tabs synchronize and impact the cloud session.

Moving from Turbo to the Cloud Edition

If you’re an existing Turbo user, moving to the Cloud Edition couldn’t be easier! Here’s why…

  • All the CRM and integrations will work out of the box in the Cloud plan, meaning you don’t have to worry about going through any migration processes.
  • Any campaigns that are running in Turbo will continue to run in the Cloud.

Read our article 'Take flight from Turbo to the Cloud' to see how easy the transition is.

In Summary

There you have it! The new Dux-Soup Cloud ‘always-on automation’ offers users a better fit for safe and effective lead generation.

  • Allowing LinkedIn lead generation to work on your behalf 24 hours a day, 7 days a week even when you’re on holiday!
  • Gives you the ability to run your outreach campaigns across an unlimited number of LinkedIn accounts.

Q&A with the Dux-Team

The webinar audience had plenty of questions for the Dux-Team. If you’d like to listen to them in full go to 25:03mins of the webinar recording.

This is a taster of what came up:

Q1. Where can I find the Cloud plan and pricing pages?

A.     For all the details about Dux-Soup Cloud Edition, please head to https://www.dux-soup.com/pricing/cloud-plan.

Q2. I'm already a Pro or Turbo user, how do Iupgrade to the new Cloud Edition?

A.     If you're already a Dux-Soup user, go to the Dux-Dash, select Manage Subscription and request your upgrade. You will need to install the latest version of Dux-Soup in order to be gain access to the Cloud Edition. Your existing activity will continue to run, and you will be reimbursed (pro rata) for any remaining time left on your Pro or Turbo subscription.

Q3. I run Dux-Soup for clients in multiple locations. I typically setup a server near to my client location so that the activity looks like it’s initiated by my client. Do I need to do anything to replicate this when using Cloud Edition?

A.     No. This is all managed by Dux-Soup. We use multiple locations so your activity will still seemingly originate from a location near to your source.

Q4. If I turn my computer off, does Cloud Edition keep working, or will I be logged out of LinkedIn?

A.     By using Cloud Edition your actions will continue to run. LinkedIn and Dux-Soup will only shut down when you quit the applications.

Q5. Can I continue to use LinkedIn while Dux-Soup is running the Cloud Edition?

A.     Yes, you can continue to use LinkedIn, but don't forget, to use automation in the safest way, you should aim to 'mimic human behaviour' on the platform. For more information about how to use LinkedIn automation safely, take a look at our article - https://www.dux-soup.com/blog/using-linkedin-automation-safely.

Q6. I'm based in the UK but run Dux Soup for clients abroad (e.g. Hong Kong), can I access their account from the UK and use Cloud Edition? Currently, I run virtual machines in the local country.

A.     Not yet. At the moment the Cloud session will mimic your local session, which means it will run as if you’re accessing LinkedIn from the UK. We’ll have an update soon that will allow users to manually override this, so that the time zone and geographical location can be updated accordingly.

Q7. I work with an agency where multiple people manage Dux-Soup campaigns for our clients. We currently manage this via a VPN, which means team members need to constantly log out and log in again for other team members to access the account. With the Cloud Edition, can multiple people manage it simultaneously?

A.     A multi-account version will be available in early 2024, where we will allow centralized management of several accounts in one single dashboard.

Q8. Are integrations with popular CRMs available with the Cloud Edition and will conversations in LinkedIn still be shared to my chosen CRM?

A.     All of the usual integrations are available with Dux-Soup Cloud Edition and any existing CRM integrations will continue to run in the same way they do today on your existing plan.

Q9. Can I manage 2 separate LinkedIn accounts within Cloud Edition, and do I need to be logged into those 2 accounts to manage drip campaigns?

A.     You will currently still need a separate google chrome account for each LinkedIn profile you are managing, however this will change when the multi-account version is released in early 2024. ,

The difference is that by using Cloud Edition now, you only need to be logged into the Dux-Soup session to add prospects into your campaign. Once this is done, you can close your browser and your activities will continue to run as instructed.

Q10. What’s the real benefit of Dux-Soup Cloud Edition?

A.   For users running multiple LinkedIn accounts and want the flexibility of being able to walk away from their laptop in the knowledge that their outreach and campaigns will continue to run 24/7 if desired; then Dux-Soup Cloud Edition is a real ‘game changer’.

Add to that the fact that this solution is hosted by Dux-Soup, so your tech issues simply go away – and you’ve got a super stable, round the clock marketing automation tool.
