Why Dux-Soup randomly stops or skips profiles, and how to fix it.

Many Dux-Soup customers are using “Visit Profiles” feature to scrape the information about the potential clients. This is a great way to build your database of clients as Dux-Soup scrapes the information like the company name, job title, domain, skills, work experience and much more! You can import this data to your CRM, use if for your marketing campaign or simply revisit and connect with them through Dux-Soup.

However, there might be some instances where Dux-Soup stops in the middle of the visiting session or the downloaded CSV does not contain all the profiles that should be recorded.

How did this happen?

Keep on reading to find out WHY the profiles are being skipped and HOW to prevent it.

This blog demonstrates "Expert Settings" that you can easily enable in the Options menu, under the User tab.

1.Ignore Unknown Pages

To make sure Dux-Soup is visiting the profiles without interruptions, the first thing you need to do is go to Dux-Soup Options and click on the Browser tab.

Here you will need to tick the box “Ignore unknown pages” under Browser Performance, and Dux-Soup will skip any corrupted profiles or incorrect LinkedIn URLs. This means that your visiting session is never interrupted and runs smoothly.

2. Enable the option to skip profiles that are outside of your network

You may have noticed that sometimes when you download a CSV file, all you can see is a number of empty profiles, unknown links and no other data.

This happens when you are searching for the 3rd degree connections that are too far away from the network and Dux-Soup is not able to capture information about them. To avoid this issue, make sure you enable the option to skip such profiles.

If you go to Options and click on the Skipping tab, below you will see the option to skip profiles that are outside of your network:

3. Check your other skipping options

Apart from skipping profiles that are out of your network, it’s worth checking if you have selected any other skipping options like “Skip if the profile photo is blank” or “Skip profiles visited in the past 3 days”. All these options can affect the visiting so we recommend going to your Dux-Soup Options > Skipping tab and adjusting them according to your needs or as shown in the image below:

We hope you will find these tips useful and your next Dux-Soup visiting session will not be interrupted.
